1. What strengths did you bring to your internship?
At my internship I brought a lot of will to learn and work to
get the most of experience that I possibly could. I was able to pick up how to run and operate things quickly.
Here I produced another person who was able to partake in all events and
activities that were occurring. Being a huge assistant to my supervisor, he was able to worry less about
the setting up and breaking down of events.
2. What were your major weaknesses? What
personal qualities could you have improved during your
experience?
My major weakness would definitely be that of dealing with
unhappy customers. It was always something different and had to think on my feet very quickly in order to try an
assist the customers’ needs respectfully. This was hard to do because sometimes you have to give an answer that the
customers do not want to hear therefore it makes it challenging to deal with the
situation. Reaction time to sudden occurrences would have been a great quality to have to assure myself allocated
time to understand what and how things operate so I know what needs to be said
in any complications.
3. Do you feel you adequately satisfied the duties expected of you by the sponsoring
organization? Why or why not?
I personally feel like I did a great job while working at the
sports club. when the general manager and top three other managers of the facility come to me face to face and
tell me I have done a great job and keep up the good work, makes me feel like I
did what I had to do to be successful at this particular organization.
4. Do you feel you adequately satisfied the time requirements (150 clock hours) of
the internship?
Due to the many hours worked I believe I fulfilled the
requirements of 200+ hours. I worked mostly 6 days a week every week throughout the summer.
In this time I also felt as if I learned a lot of information about many
different things (pools, equipment, tables, chairs, awnings, and operationally).
5. What helpful suggestions would you make to future interns in your
position?
To future interns I would recommend going in with your head up
and expect the unexpected. There
are so many different types of things I learned from working at the club. With so many options out in the world
today I feel I was taught a little bit of everything which is a benefit for my
experience. Also just look forward to coming into work every day and learning something
new
6. What did you gain from your experience?
How will this experience help you when you leave Tiffin
University?
I gained a lot of experience and knowledge helping me gain
access to other job opportunities. After graduating I feel as if I have great experience under my belt and
will allow me to find more job opportunities with the experience I had gained at
Cincinnati Sports club.
10. What overall grade do you feel you earned through your internship
experience? Justify your response.
In completion of my internship I feel as if I deserve an A-B due to the efforts I
put in with the organization. I did get a little lazy with the paper work and organization of the class
intended, but in the end I feel as if I have completed criteria to the best of
my abilities. Overall the most important part of this internship I gained was the knowledge and experience
dealt with my degree. With all I have learned, some things are little small things that the outsiders do not
see. This conducts day to day operations of cleaning and fixing things.
This was a great experience for my personal self. Within this course I feel as if I deserved an successful grade for the
internship.
